I am in PRINT!!!
Hooray! My first published article is out! Click the pic and it will take you to Segullah. The web version isn’t available yet, so you can’t read it yet, but hopefully soon. For now it is just listed.
Odd, I didn’t expect the feelings of nervousness and apprehension. (What if it’s lousy?! Augh!!!) I’m sure that thinking is perfectly normal. That is what my dreams nightmares are sometimes about. But I have been courageous. (I thought.) So, when you eventually get the chance to read my essay and if you decided that it sucks. Just LIE TO ME OKAY!!!
Just kidding. It’s really an awesome essay. Really. Really. Really. I mean it. It is.

I am off to the zoo today. Field trip. I am excited to see the baby giraffe. That is my favorite animal. If you can have a favorite. Actually, my favorite animal is a Samoyed. Giraffes are second.

I was just called as Nursery Leader. (Basically, Sunday School for the 18 mos. to 3 year olds.) Yesterday was my first time. Besides being hit in the head with bouncy balls several times, it was enjoyable. One girl played peekaboo with her goldfish crackers, another climbed every surface possible and stole toys from other children with glee and fervor, and another wanted to hear the book “Where is Maisy” about a thousand times. I love the Nursery!!!

OMIGOSH! I know a famous person! How cool is this???? Congratulations for making it to the big time!
OK…next— what the heck is a Samoyed???????
*snoopy dancing on the coffee table* YAY! Finals are over and we are celebrating Ds! Or maybe we are celebrating Melinda’s going whacko?
Becky, you are too cool. I wouldn’t consider this the big time, but I love that you said it.
A Samoyed is a big white dog. I used to own one, but it is a long and sordid tale. You can click on the doggie category and read more.
Yes, whackiness is definitely cause for celebration!!!(Except it has been building for years, but now it’s official-I think I’ve gone insane:-) Who would have thought a D could cause so much…Joy?
Congratulations.
Will I get to see a hard copy when we get together next week?
(I’ll be in touch soon–)
I don’t have an offical hard copy yet…
I’m checking my mail box every day…
